Explore Our Rich Heritage and Vision for the Future
Monfort Heights is a notable landmark in the Monfort Heights area of
Cincinnati. Since 1836 there has been a thread of a Methodist Church in
Monforts Heights. Visible from I-74 our steeple with cross can be seen
from the highway. Our carillon rings beautiful bells and plays wonderful
music throughout the day.
Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. Worship the Lord with
gladness; come before him with joyful songs.

The Meaning of Baptism
We understand Baptism to be recognition of God's grace and love for
each person created by God's action! Baptism is not an act which creates a
beginning of God's love for us, since God's love abounds transcendent of
human action. Therefore, for us, Baptism is a celebration of the gift of
life and the faith and recognition of God's love as the life-giving force
in the world. In this act, parents pledge themselves to children in
Christian love; likewise the family of faith pledges itself to parents and
child for nurture, love, support, and encouragement.
In the United Methodist tradition, the Sacrament of Baptism is shared with
a person of any age who believes that Jesus Christ is for them Lord and
Savior! The Sacrament is shared in one of three methodssprinkling,
pouring, and immersion.
