Looking for a church home? Want to join a spirit filled church? Here is
your chance. At the singing of the closing hymn, you are invited to make
your way forward to the altar area at the front of the church where the
Pastors and counselors are waiting to receive you. You are welcome to pray
privately, to ask for assistance from one of the counselors or to take one
of the following steps to become a member in ministry of our church.
- Confession of Faith: is the
initial entrance into membership. Make a public confession of faith in
Jesus Christ as Savior and at a later time be baptized
- Reaffirmation of Faith: is one's
renewing of the initial confession of faith after a period of inactivity
or not being a member of a church.
- Transfer of Membership: may be
from another United Methodist Church or a Christian church of another
denomination. We recognize Christian baptism from all other Christian
churches.
Your commitment is to support this United Methodist church by your
Prayers for the church and its ministries
- Presence at worship services, small groups/Sunday school
- Gifts of financial support through tithes and offerings as a faith
investment in God's work
- Service to God's kingdom by volunteering to serve in a ministry
area.

Available at the Welcome Center
Jubilation Ringers CDs, MHUMC Cookbooks as well as Greeting Cards and
all current church information and assistance are
available at the Welcome Center. You can also find small informational
ministry cards about the small groups available to you that meet at the
church.
Bulletin Note
All information for Sunday inserts must be received by 4:00pm each
Wednesday. Any items received after the cutoff will be in the following
week's bulletin. This allows time for proof reading, printing and
assembling.
Pictorial Directories
For everyone who had a picture taken for the directory,
one free copy per family is
available in Fellowship Hall. Additional directories are available for
$5.00
Altar Flowers
If you would like Sunday Altar Flowers in memory of our in honor of
someone or for a special occasion please drop a note in the offering
plate, place your name and phone number on the flower calendar in the
office, call the church office or
Contact Us with your request. The cost is $16 unless there is a
special request for roses, etc.
Endowment Fund Committee
If you would like to attend a meeting please notify
Larry Cook at your soonest opportunity.
Also, we need your recommendations for mission assistance
now. Please address your request to Larry Cook in care of the church or give them
to any of the team members.
The Endowment Fund is always accepting contributions from those persons
who wish to further the purpose of the Endowment Fund, which is "To
enhance the mission outreach of Monfort Heights United Methodist Church
apart from its general operation."
The Committee is always accepting suggestions from members of our
congregation about worthy recipients in need of financial assistance.
