Who we Are

Dr. John R. Daniels

Social, political, and spiritual transformation of the world and developing leaders. These core values are the driving force of my life. “I have a heart to share Christ with the world for personal, community and world transformation,” states John. We cannot do that without Spirit-birthed and led leaders. My personal mission statement is to “Transforming The Church and World To Become Authentic Followers of Jesus Christ.”

The Gospel demands finding out God’s agenda and vision for the church and the world. Visions are born in the soul of a man or woman who is consumed with the tension between what is and what could be.

John has been a pastor for 26 years and has also traveled extensively preaching and teaching revivals, seminars and workshops on church planting, navigating change, healing ministries, and marriage enrichment. Through Connect Downtown Conferences , Dr. Daniels is able to equip, encourage the people and the Church to change the world. In addition to being a pastor, he is President and founder of Side Street Productions.

He holds undergraduate degrees from Ohio University; Masters of Divinity from United Theological Seminary; and earned his Doctorate from Ashland Theological Seminary. He has also studied at Trinity Lutheran Seminary, Asbury Theological Seminary, Center for Parish Development, Nehemiah Institute, and the West Ohio UMC New Start Church Academy.

John is also the published author of two books: GraceFull Healing-Living In Christ and GraceFull Healing The Workbook. He is also a poet and songwriter.

He and his wife Jody have been married for 35 years and were high school sweethearts. They have three grown children Abbey (son-in-law Greg), Theresa, and John Wesley.

Five Characteristics

1.WE ARE A JESUS CHURCH - We strive to be Christ-centered, keeping Jesus at the center of our beliefs and practices. He is our model, priority, passion, and pattern. He is the One who elevates us to new heights in life. (John 10:10)

2. WE ARE A WORSHIPPING CHURCH - Individual and corporate praise and worship is vital. We are designed to worship God with our lips and our lives. Based on Psalm 150, we are to worship God in everything, because God is worthy.

3. WE ARE A LOVING SERVANTS CHURCH - We seek to operate as a loving community of servants based on Ephesians 4 and Romans 12. This is where every member sees themselves as a minister. They discover their Spiritual Gifts and serve. The leaders strive to equip every member to be a minister.

4. WE ARE A MISSIONS CHURCH - Everyone deserves the opportunity to hear the Gospel. Therefore, we must reach the lost, the least, and the lonely from our neighborhoods all the way to the unreached peoples of the world. We are a Great  Commandment and Great Commission church.

5. WE ARE A FAMILY CHURCH - We are committed to the health and success of all families and marriages. Families come in all shapes and sizes. We believe the family in the strength of our church and society.
